Security Group Selects InterMute to Speak at Spyware
Forum
Presentation Focuses on “10 Ways to Combat Spyware in Your Organization”
BRAINTREE, MA — January
12, 2005 — InterMute,
Inc., a leading provider of best-of-breed Internet
security and content filtering solutions, today announced
it will present at the New England Information Security
Group’s (www.neisg.org)

NEISG is
a nonprofit organization that includes 650 members,
who range from IT administrators and managers,
law enforcement personnel, students, educators or
anyone interested in learning how to protect their
systems.
InterMute’s Director of Marketing, Andy Ostrom,
will present “10 Ways to Combat Spyware In
Your Organization.” Mr. Ostrom will cover the
gamut—from deploying a comprehensive solution
that protects employees behind and beyond the corporate
firewall and preventing the download of skeptical
ActiveX and P2P file-sharing applications, to creating
enforceable employee anti-spyware policies.
This
session will target corporate, government and
academic IT departments—help desk, operations,
security, system management and desktop management—that
are being flooded with calls for assistance on PCs
that “don’t work,” are painfully
slow or have Web browsers behaving strangely─all
because of spyware.
