AdSubtract's Ad-Blocking Software to Ship with Zoom Modems

Number One Ad-Blocking Software Bundled with Leading Provider of Data Communication Products

BRAINTREE, MA. March 13, 2000 - AdSubtract.com, LLC, developer of Internet ad and cookie blocking software, and Zoom Telephonics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZOOM) today announced an alliance that provides Zoom customers with instant access to AdSubtract software. Zoom has bundled AdSubtract’s award-winning Standard Edition software with select Zoom and Hayes 56K modems, as well as with Zoom Air™ wireless LAN products. In addition, current owners of Zoom and Hayes products can also download AdSubtract SE software from Zoom's web site at www.zoom.com.

The agreement between the two companies allows users to easily block cookies and web banners to combat online user profiling and make web browsing faster and more pleasant.

Zoom designs, produces and markets a broad range of advanced communication products under the Zoom and Hayes brand names. Zoom products are sold in over 5,000 retail locations worldwide.
